Dandelion Festival

image Several weeks ago I got to attend the Dandelion Festival in Borculo, Michigan for the first time. I have to say, I was VERY excited about it! I’m very fond of dandelions and it’s not often that I find others celebrating them! The festival was originally created to be a spoof of the other festival here called, “Tulip Time.” Even though the Tulip Time Festival is very well known and attended I much preferred the small town Dandelion Festival over it! They had all sorts of free activities for kids such as those big blow up toys, snacks, ice-cream, pony rides and give-aways. The highlight of the celebration is a parade lead by the local pastor riding an old-fashioned manure spreader! You gotta love it! The dandelions were in full bloom and covered the countryside in rays of sunshine! I’m looking forward to attending again next year. Feel free to join me!
