That’s a great quote, but it’s not nearly as striking as what Jesus actually said, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”
I like how Jesus didn’t mince any words. We have to have an unqualified commitment to follow him and absolutely nothing, not even family, should separate us from Him.
